Mechabellum Patch Notes – Update 0.8.3 – New unit Tarantula

Mechabellum Patch Notes – Update 0.8.3 – New unit Tarantula

Greetings Commanders!

Mechabellum has come a long way since our launch into EA back in May of 2023! We’re grateful for your continued support, feedback, and dedication to helping us make Mechabellum a truly unique experience!

Update 0.8.3 features a brand new unit, balance adjustments to existing units, and a overhaul to the in-game replay system. Additionally, players that lose connection during a match will now be able to reconnect with ease! Lastly, You might also notice the addition of new soundtracks throughout Mechabellum!

This update will be carried out at 10:00 AM on June 27, 2024, UTC time. At that time, the server will undergo update maintenance for approximately 120 minutes

New Unit: Tarantula

Tarantula is a heavily armored unit that can withstand a lot of damage. Its two rapid-fire autocannons are very effective against small and medium-sized units. Through Tech upgrades, The Tarantula can mount two mine-laying cases on its back, which will fire two self-moving Spider Mines every 15 seconds

Dev Note: We hope The Tarantula will provide more chaff-clearing choices for round 1, and we hope it will also give steel balls some high HP targets to counter, after all, we do not have a High HP single unit in our starting units now since Rhino is not a starting unit.

New music!

We have made new exclusive music for Mechabellum. Everyone can now safely use the built-in music for Streaming/Youtube/X.

Reconnection

If connection is lost or the game crashes during a match, you’ll now have approximately 90 seconds to log back in and return to the match before it ends!
